Sub-contracted through MMT AB to provide Reach Subsea with a Senior Data Processor onboard the MV Edda Fonn for the ABB Tennet Dolwin Beta Controlled Flow Excavation and Filter Unit Installation project. ABB have been contracted by Tennet Offshore to provide an Offshore Wind Converter platform (Dolwin Beta), located 45km north of the German coastline, connected to shore with a 900MW HVDC cable link. The Reach Subsea workscope involves trenching parts of the newly installed cables around the platform, together with installing 250 Filter Units (containing rocks) to provide protection. Extremely high-resolution (10cm) bathymetry surveys are being conducted using an ROV mounted R2Sonic dual 2024 system throughout operations to monitor progress. The EIVA software suite is being used for data acquisition and processing, with the ROVINS positioning data post-processed using iXSea’s Delph INS software to improve accuracy. NaviModel is being used for cleaning, surface generation, data visualization and product generation.
